Charity and fundraising

Every pound spent here has to earn its place.

Live streaming for fundraising galas, appeal launches and awareness events. Donation prompts on screen, a total that moves, and an itemised quote your trustees can sign off without a conversation about it.

What we do

Restricted funds, a watching board, and one night to do it in.

Charity work carries a scrutiny most sectors do not. Money spent on production is money not spent on the cause, and somebody will ask about it. So the honest case for streaming a fundraiser is not that it looks impressive. It is that the people who could not get in the room can still give.

That means the stream has to actually ask. A donation link, a QR code and a total that visibly climbs do more for online giving than any amount of camera work, and they need to be planned into the running order rather than dropped on at the end.

It also means handling people properly. Beneficiary testimony, health stories and families in the room are not content. We agree in pre-production who is on camera, whose consent covers public use, and what happens if somebody changes their mind on the night.

Afterwards you get numbers as well as footage: viewing figures, watch time and on demand views, which is the evidence a grant report or a finance committee actually wants.

The ask, on screen Donation links, QR codes, appeal graphics and a live total that updates as the money comes in.
Multi-camera coverage Speeches, testimony, entertainment and the auction, cut live by a director rather than left on a wide.
Consent handled first Who is on camera and whose story is public gets agreed in pre-production, and can be cut afterwards.
Captions and BSL Planned in from day one, with an accessible transcript on the archive rather than a caption track bolted on late.
Numbers for the report Viewing figures, watch time and on demand views, in a form you can put straight into a grant application.
Footage you keep using Separate recording paths, so the masters and clips are there for next year's appeal whatever the stream did.

What we stream

Village hall to hotel ballroom.

Fundraising galas and dinners Speeches, testimony, the auction and the ask, with the online total on screen while the room is still bidding.
Appeal and campaign launches Delivered to press, funders and supporters at once, with clips cut on the day for the news cycle you are aiming at.
Awareness events Awareness days and public conversations where the point is reach, so captions and shareable segments matter most.
Sector conferences and AGMs Members, volunteers and trustees who cannot travel, with remote speakers and Q&A brought in properly.
Concerts and charity performances Benefit gigs and carol services where the music has to sound like music, so audio comes off the desk.
Awards and volunteer thank-yous Recognition nights where the people being thanked are often the ones who cannot make the journey.

How it works

No surprises for the finance committee.

A call about the cause, not the kit

What the event is for, what you need it to raise, and who is watching from home. If streaming will not move that number, we will say so.

Itemised quote, then approval

Line by line, with insurance and RAMS attached, so it can go to trustees or into a funding bid as it stands.

Running order and consent

Where the ask sits, when the total goes up, who is on camera and who is not. Agreed in writing before the day.

Rig quietly, prove it early

In and tested before guests arrive. Nobody at a charity dinner should be watching cables go in over their starter.

Connectivity either way

A dedicated, tested venue line gets used where there is one. Guest WiFi never carries your appeal, and bonded 4G, 5G and Starlink travel with us either way.

“I would like to thank Dan for all of his expertise in helping us to create our first streamed event at Willow Burn Hospice in Lanchester. As we had never done anything like it before we relied on him to show us exactly what we needed to do. He understood the brief and just got on with it whilst I was busy doing other behind the scenes stuff. As it was our annual Christmas Rememberance Service, there was a lot of pressure to get it right and the end result was beautiful.”

Pricing

A fixed price, before you commit anything.

Cost is driven by camera count, crew days, how long the event runs, the connectivity the venue does or does not have, and what you want afterwards. Not by resolution, and not by whose badge is on the kit. After a proper conversation you get an itemised quote, and it does not move unless the event does.

Included as standard

Crewed operators, our own bonded connectivity as failover, donation and total graphics, separate recording paths, the full recording, and insurance and RAMS with the quote.

Quoted separately

Travel and accommodation, edited highlights and case study films, caption and BSL specialists, and extra crew above a certain scale. Listed as lines you can cut.

No fixed packages

Packages mean paying for cameras you do not need, which is the last thing a charity budget should be doing.

Questions fundraisers ask first.

Can you show a live fundraising total on screen?

Yes. Donation links, QR codes, appeal graphics and a running total can sit on the stream, and the total can be updated live from your platform or by someone in the room. A number that visibly moves does more for online giving than anything we can say about picture quality.

How do we justify the cost to trustees?

With an itemised quote and a number afterwards. You get a line by line breakdown before you commit, and viewing figures, watch time and on demand views after the event. That is the evidence a finance committee or a grant report actually wants.

Can you handle beneficiary stories sensitively?

Yes, and it is worth planning properly. Tell us in pre-production who must not be on camera, which testimony is consented for public use and which is for the room only, and we build the camera plan around that. If somebody withdraws consent on the night we can cut them from the recording.

What if the venue internet is not good enough?

We test it. Where a hotel or venue has a dedicated, tested line we will use it, and it is often the best option available. What we will not do is put your appeal on shared guest WiFi. Bonded 4G and 5G across multiple carriers plus Starlink travel with us either way, so if the line drops during the ask the stream does not.

Are captions included?

They are planned in from the start rather than added the week before. Live captions and in-vision BSL are both available, and the archive comes with an accessible transcript. For a charity in the disability or health space this is usually the point, not an extra.

Do you work with small local charities?

Yes. A community fundraiser in a village hall does not need the camera count of a national gala, so the production scales and the quote scales with it.

When should we not spend money on this?

If nobody is going to watch the stream, do not commission one. A committee meeting on Teams, a small local raffle night, or an event where the online audience is a handful of people does not justify a crewed multi-camera production. Put the money in the cause and we will say so on the call.

Tell us what it needs to raise.

Thirty minutes with the date, the venue and the target, and you will know what we would bring, what it costs, and whether it is worth the money.
